All skips are to be placed on private land. If private land is not available and your skip is to be placed on the public highway a skip hire permit will be required. Additional charges enforced by the relevant local authority will be applied in such instances, in addition to the cost of hire. Charges for skip hire permits together with their enforcement vary regionally.
All permits are chargeable to the customer. Should the permit be declined by the local authority, this charge is non-refundable.

All skips have a maximum 14 days hire period. If your skip is required for longer than this period, please contact us to discuss your options.
Delivery / Collection
Delivery on the day of hire will be between the hours of 7am and 5.30pm. You are not required to be present on delivery unless you specifically want to be present to ensure the skip is placed in the correct location.
Please ensure the location of where the skip is to be placed is accessible for a skip lorry and clear from obstruction for both delivery and collection.

Restricted Materials include (but are not limited to): Fridges/ Freezers, Mattresses, Tyres, Paint, Cans, TV’s/ Monitors, Asbestos, Clinical/ Medical Waste, Fluorescent Tubes, Solvents, Liquids, Oil, Batteries, Plasterboard, Hazardous/ Toxic Material, Gas Cylinders. Surcharges will apply where any of these items have been deposited without prior permission or the Owner and the Customer warrants to pay any such surcharges immediately upon demand.
Soil and rubble is heavy. Where an 8 yard skip is being used, please do not fill the skip to the brim, as the crane will be unable to collect the load. Please observe the fill line at all times and ensure the skip is not overloaded or exceeding weight limits for collection.
Your waste will be taken to a licensed waste transfer station to be disposed of. The site will process the waste and recycle as much as possible to help protect the environment.
When hiring a skip, you should ensure the company you employ holds a waste carriers licence, and will take your waste to a licensed waste transfer station. Travis Perkins Limited is a waste broker and waste carrier company registration number CBDU165096.
